THE VALUE CONNECTION can increase the exposure of your company’s offerings! VALUE CONNECTION items are promoted on a printed inventory available at our studios, on the air over all six radio stations, and via a weekly program on WJON from 10am to Noon on Saturdays. Individuals can access information regarding VALUE CONNECTION items and can purchase many items through the internet at our secured website. Customers may also call in orders. They get live operators weekdays from 9am to 6pm, but they can call and order ANYTIME, 24/7. Customers may elect to have certificates mailed to them or they can pick them up at the Townsquare Media studios at 640 Lincoln Avenue Southeast in St. Cloud from 9am-6pm weekdays and 9am-1pm on Saturdays. Certificates may also be purchased and/or picked up at the Guest Services Desk at Crossroads Center and at Miller Auto and Marine of St. Cloud.
HOW IT WORKS
Townsquare Media contracts with businesses to offer a given item or service for sale. Once the item has been sold, the listener pays Townsquare Media and then receives a certificate for the item or service. This certificate is redeemed at the participating business. We’ll supply the certificates for you (see back) or we can use your own certificates or gift cards. Either way, we make the process as “turn-key” as possible for your business!
After Townsquare Media receives payment from the purchaser, the business is credited with a percentage of the retail value of the item or service (normally 85%). This credit may be applied to any advertising done with any of our six radio stations. The rates you receive for your VC advertising are the same you would receive if you were spending cash to buy your ads. If your item or service does not sell, you will not be charged for the extensive exposure you receive on the VALUE CONNECTION - this is just an additional benefit of the program. Any advertising purchased but not completely covered by your VALUE CONNECTION credit will need to be paid in cash within 30 days.
GUIDELINES
Specific items or services should be chosen with the idea that they are representative of your business. Items or services must be offered at everyday selling prices. The price should reflect what an average customer would normally pay.
Certificates may also be general enough to allow listeners to buy any item or service your business has to offer. Businesses may note any restrictions on the actual certificate. The minimum certificate amount is $10 (or a pair of $5 certificates). Guarantees are not placed on when certificates will be sold during a given time. Townsquare Media reserves the right to sell all of a participating business’ certificates at one time.
HOW DO I USE MY ADVERTISING CREDIT?
Use your accrued credit just like cash. Apply credit towards existing advertising invoices or bank the credit for later use. You may purchase any of Townsquare Media’s normal offerings, including scheduling primetime ads. Unlike some companies we DO NOT increase our advertising rates for VALUE CONNECTION advertisers...our rates are the same whether you use VC credit or spend cash! Credit needs to be used within one year of accrual.
CAN I ADVERTISE BEYOND MY CREDIT?
Yes, however the difference between your VALUE CONNECTION credit and the size of your advertising order will need to be paid in cash.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR RETURNS?
Once a customer purchases a certificate it is non-returnable, except under special circumstances. In this case, the customer should be advised to bring the certificate back to our studios.
WHAT ABOUT SALES TAX?
Sales tax on general merchandise certificates should be collected by the business. Specific item certificates may have the sales tax already figured into the selling price or the business may choose to collect the tax when the customer arrives. The payment of sales tax should be discussed and determined prior to featuring your item on the VALUE CONNECTION.
